The Farm

Flower Moon Farm is located in Bradford, Vermont on about three acres of the fine, sandy loam soils of the Connecticut River Valley. The land was once tended by my grandfather and great-grandparents as a respected dairy farm of prized Holstein cows.

In our first season in 2025, we grew flowers on about 1200 sq. ft. of reclaimed hay field, and in 2026, we are doubling that to 2400 sq. ft. for our second season. We grow an array of annuals, including favorites like sunflowers, zinnias, foxgloves, snapdragons, cosmos, and many more, as well as an ever-expanding selection of dahlias.

Our Farming Philosophy

Land

We use holistic practices to grow our flowers because we recognize the farm not as separate, but as a part of the larger ecosystem that we want to support and steward.

We know that healthy soils make healthy flowers so we support our soil health by increasing organic matter with compost, using organic amendments, and keeping soil covered as much as possible with mulch, cover crops, etc.

We LOVE native flora and fauna and the biodiversity they provide and we support them with intentional pollinator plantings, removal of invasive species, and planting of native species in their place that better provide food and shelter for the native bugs and birds.

Lifestyle

Flower Moon Farm is a venture we created in pursuit of a life that allows us to seek joy and wonder and meaning in the simplicities of the natural world and in the magic and mundane of the human experience.

We find purpose and meaning in the work of growing flowers to share beauty and create joy, and in the lifestyle of being connected to the land.

We are passionate about the work we do and we value the challenging, ever-changing nature of farming for the learning and personal growth it provides.

Community

We grow flowers because flowers have the power to connect us. And we believe meaningful connection with one another is one of the best and most vital parts of the human experience.

Our flowers and farm are our offering to the community, our bid for connection. We want to share the beauty of a fresh, seasonal bouquet with you and we want to share our appreciation of the natural world with you.

We support our community and we are in turn, supported by the community in our vision of sharing the beauty, joy, and connection that flowers bring us.
